Improvised Weapons
Level 1. Course Improvised Weapons
An improvised weapon is an object that was not designed to be used as a weapon but can be used as one. Improvised weapons are commonly used for self-defense when the person would otherwise be unarmed. It's also worth noting that some attackers may use improvised guns in street fights, muggings, murders or riots when conventional firearms are unavailable or inappropriate.
Everyday objects can be utilized as improvised weapons in a variety of defensive ways. These objects do not need to be altered in any way to make them more functional as weapons.
This Course covers employing “weapons of opportunity” from four classes of makeshift armaments including: edged, impact, flexible and personal weapons. We then teach you the essential skills necessary for quickly identifying, deploying, and utilizing ordinary objects in your environment as improvised weapons for use against actual threats.
